Welcome to Pacific Islands Evangelical Seminary (PIES).  PIES exists to complement the mission of Pacific Islands University by providing excellent, accessible, and transformative theological education.  We are an intimate, multi-cultural institution, fully accredited by the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS), making our seminary the only one of its kind in this part of the world.  Our unique mission is essentially two-fold:  To provide theologically trained leaders for the churches of Micronesia and the Pacific Rim, and to develop missionaries to unreached people groups of the world.  We are excited as we watch God bring that mission to fruition.

Currently, PIES offers the Master of Arts in Religion (MAR).  The MAR is an introductory seminary degree providing the student with an in-depth study of the Scriptures and an examination of  the essential truths of the Christian message.  The MAR is a 48 unit course that, taken full-time, is completed in two years.

  • 12 credit hours in biblical studies
  • 15 credit hours in theological studies and church history
  • 15 credit hours in general ministry studies
  • 6 credit hours in foundational studies

As you get to know us better, you will find that our program is devotional at heart, biblically centered, theologically vigorous, and eminently practical.  This is the balance we seek to achieve, for it is our core desire to produce students who are passionate about their relationship with Christ, equipped with the tools of good biblical exegesis, keen theological thinkers, and able to excel in ministry wherever God calls them.
