Pacific Islands University, a fully accredited university located in Guam, begins Spring semester classes, at the Guam campus, January 11, 2016.
Both on-site and online classes will be offered at PIU-Palau. Spring classes at PIU-Palau meet Monday-Thusrsday from5:00-6:30pm, beginning January 18. New Testament Survey, BNEW 100, will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays. Introduction to Christian Doctrine, THEO 200, will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Online classes are also being offered. Online classes may be taken over any adequate internet connection, or at PIU’s Teaching Facility, located next to the HPRD office on the campus of Palau Community College. Assistance for online students will be available at the TF, On-site classes will also meet at the TF. The Teaching Facility is currently staffed from 1:00-5:00pm. Hours will expand on January 18. Pacific Islands University celebrates it fortieth year in March of 2016. The school began as an institution to provide trained workers for the Micronesian church. Today PIU is a fully accredited university, offering undergraduate degrees in Liberal Studies as well as Biblical Studies, various certificates, and two Graduate degrees. The main campus is located in Mangilao, Guam. Classes taken at PIU’s Teaching Facility in Palau can lead to the receipt of the Certificate of Bible Studies diploma, and are transferable to other PIU programs.Rev. Howard Merrell, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Pacific Islands University, has been appointed Teaching Facility Director for PIU-Palau. He will be teaching onsite for the Spring Semester.
